New York City - March 2012

When Elizabeth and I went to NY City to visit with Katharine I insisted on going to The Ink Pad.  If you are ever in NYC you NEED to go to the Ink Pad. I have never seen so many wonderful products in such a small space.  The atmosphere in the store reminds me of the magic shop you see in the Harry Potter Movies.  Katharine in front of the store.

While I was there I made some wonderful purchases.  I bought 3 stencils from Julie Fei-Fan Balzer's new stencil line.

And these packages of Art Parts from Studio 490 caught my eye.  This is a new company for me.
Art Parts are thick paper board surfaces (aka chipboard//but much stronger).  I plan on using them
in a mixed media project.

Then I saw this cute package of little girl clothes from Christy Tomlinson.  I have taken a few of Christy's classes on-line and I really enjoyed them.  I did not think that I would like on-line classes
but I really do.

I love stamps and this package of dylusions from Ranger put a smile on my face.  Little did I know that the following week I would be taking a class from Dyan Reavely, Ranger's newest designer.  In class we did a couple of pages in an altered book project ... which was lovely because I have been wanting to start an altered book.

I think my blog is now updated.  I am liking this blogging thing.

I did not make the Little Yellow Bicycle Designer Team.  But I will be trying to get on a design team.  I am ready for the challenge.

Me And My Girls

When Elizabeth came home for a visit I made it a POINT to get this picture ... here is my new wallpaper.

Mixed Media Day With My Friend Melissa

I spent Saturday with my friend Melissa.  She wanted to learn a little mixed media.  She fell in love with an angel I did and I said I would show her how.  When I arrived at her house I told her she should start a weekend cropping business and that every weekend it would sell out because the view from her dining room table is wonderful and relaxing and very inspiring.  The front of her house is all windows and you look out onto Secret Lake.  She asked me: "What's a 'crop' ?"  So I told her !!!  Melissa's Angel is meditating and My Angel is grateful for a good hair day !!!!
